The mean Larry Wilson (William Powell) is on a cruise, not drinking! When he meets Doc Ryan (Frank McHugh) who is a drunk but fun loving man. Doc ends up falling off the ship due to drinking. With Larry falling in the ocean to save him and ends up getting hit on the head with an oar. He ends up getting amnesia and forgets the important things in life, like his wife. Kay Wilson (Myrna Loy) and what's worse is the moment he sees her, he thinks she's beautiful and is happy that he is married to her. What's so bad about that? She wants a divorce. She wants a divorce from the guy before the cruise. But now after having amnesia, he is a totally different guy. Kay ends up being confused and is not sure what to do about her husband.
