So Sweet

I have often said how much I adore Jimmy Stewart, and then I saw this picture which is one of many reasons for my love of this man...

On leave during his time with the Air Corps, Colonel James Stewart plays the piano with his mother at the family home in Indiana, Pennsylvania. September, 1945

  1. Want to hear something cool. Part of Jimmy's time in the Army Air Corp. was spent at Gowen Field in Boise, Idaho...which is where I live. (I think he was here for 7 months in 1943.)

He used to play the organ at Boise's historic theatre...the Egyptian...for their silent film showings. That theatre shows classic films once a month, and I went in November, December, and February. So there I was in the very theatre, Jimmy Stewart once was!

    1. That is a really neat story, Patti :) I love hearing stories like that :) My aunt went to UVA and James Stewart was there for a speech, I can't remember now who the other person was, but another actor was there with him. :) A lot of people went to the speech that day.
